Tickley Feather - Tickley Feather

The first time I started playing this album, I had to move on to something else after the fourth track. Track two, ‘Ooooo’, is merely 46 seconds of Annie, the lone member, making that very noise and sounding a bit like a ghostly ship’s horn. Of the 20 tracks on offer only two manage to get over three minutes in length and the whole affair is pretty soulless. Like early Sugarcubes but with far less punch or vocal histrionics.

Described on her MySpace page simply as Children, that is a very apt word to use – these efforts are like bedtime songs for those little blonde Children Of The Damned dudes. Well, ‘weird’ is probably the most positive thing I can say about this release.
