Breton announce headline UK tour and make mix available

Breton have been wowing us with their intricate, eclectic live shows for over a year now and the band have announced details of their first ever headline shows in the UK – they’ll play in Manchester, London and Leeds March in support of their debut album, due on Fat Cat. To celebrate the annoucement, the band have made ‘The Diamond Tiles Mix’ available for fans to hear – it includes two new Breton songs, called ‘The Hague’ and ‘Harp’, as well as tracks by jj, SBTRKT and Lil Wayne, and we’ve embedded it below. Friends announces new single and line up UK tour dates

Brooklyn quintet Friends are looking to build on all the support they’ve been getting over the last few months and have announced a new single – ‘Friend Crush’ will be released on February 6 2012. You can listen to the track ahead of its release below – it’s the follow up to their inescapable, breakthrough single ‘I’m His Girl’. To coincide with the single’s release, there’ll play a trio of dates in the UK – the middle date at London’s The Lexington has already sold out, but there’s still tickets for XOYO in London or Manchester’s Deaf Institute available. King Creosote & Jon Hopkins Announce UK Tour

King Creosote & Jon Hopkins will be undertaking their largest UK tour to date in the New Year. Taking in shows from Glasgow to Brighton and then on a roundabout route to Leeds, KC & Jon will be performing songs from their Mercury nominated Diamond Mine album, and a few extra treats. The majority of the shows will see KC & Jon performing as a duo, with their full band joining them in Glasgow and London only.

A few months ago Marissa Nadler released her fantastic self-titled new album, which we rather liked. She’ll finally be over in the UK next week for two shows – a small instore gig at Rough Trade West on October 3rd, and a full show at London’s Bush Hall on October 4th. These are the first dates on an extensive European tour – you can check out the rest of those shows below. To mark the occasion, she’s made her cover of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Winter Lady’ available to download for free – it is planned that this song will feature on a second collection of home-taped cover versions to be released in the near future. Having released their debut album Palace earlier this year, Chapel Club are closing out the year with a series of special UK shows. At each gig the band will play twice each night – once with a main set featuring songs from Palace and 2010′s Wintering EP, plus an earlier, special set made up of entirely new material. Having started debuting new material in their festival sets over the summer, the band are keen to continue to develop their new ideas in a live setting.
