Smashing Pumpkins give away next album for free

Smashing Pumpkins
Mewling baldy, Billy Corgan announced yesterday via the band’s website, that the Pumpkins (aka Billy Corgan) are in the process of recording a 44 track album that they intend on giving away for free.
Tracks from the forthcoming album, Teargarden by Kaleidyscope will be released consecutively from around Halloween onwards. While the tracks will be free, they’ll eventually be sold in groups of four as limited edition EPs, or ‘mini-box sets’ upon completion. When all 44 tracks have been released, they’ll be available as a complete box set, but will not differ from the original mini sets.
According to Mr Corgan, “The story of the album is based on ‘The Fool’s Journey’, as signified in the progress of the Tarot. It is my intention to approach this by breaking down the journey of our life here into four phases as made by these different characters; the Child, the Fool, the Skeptic, and the Mystic.”
Corgan goes on to say, “The music of Teargarden by Kaleidyscope harkens back to the original psychedelic roots of The Smashing Pumpkins: atmospheric, melodic, heavy, and pretty.”
