Paul Steel + new video = great

June 18, 2009 News, Videodrome No Comments

Paul Steel is one to watch, ‘specially based on the likes of the video for his latest single, ‘In A Coma’.

You want to know more? Well this song was written in San Diego Zoo about a person who heroically saves a girl from being hit by a taxi. “It’s all about the frustration of being in a coma while the girl you saved is by your bedside falling in love with you, but you can’t do anything with it because you’re all asleep and shit.”

The video is directed by Matthew Anstee and if you’re eagle-eyed, you’ll spot cameos from the likes of Ralph Brown (Withnail and I, Wayne’s World 2, Aliens), Aaron King, Stars and Sons (who Mr. Steel doubles as bassist for) and his old flatmates, The Xcerts.

Top notch.
