New Shearwater song available on free download

After seeing them earlier this year, we are absolutely psyched for Shearwater’s impending album, The Golden Archipelago, in 2010. And it’s exciting news that Matador Records have made a new song, ‘Castaways’, available for free.

As revealed by us back in September, the new record is about islands. You can read that interview still, you know.

The press release describes the new album as “a world of lushness and austerity, silence and sudden cataclysms. From rising sea levels to displaced populations, Meiburg travels from the Falklands to Madgascar, from the Bikini Atoll to the Tierra Del Fuego.”
