The Clientele

The Clientele will release their fifth album on October 6th. Entitled Bonfires on the Heath, it is the follow up to 2007′s God Save The Clientele.

Bonfires on the Heath, which singer Alasdair Maclean has suggested may well be the final record by the band, features two covers – one of a song called ‘Tonight’ by Swedish band Evergreen Days, while the other is a cover of the band’s first ever recorded song, ‘Graven Wood’. At the moment, the album’s opener ‘I Wonder Who We Are’ is available on their myspace page, while Stereogum has an MP3 of the new track ‘Harvest Time’. The new songs certainly suggest that the new record is a more spectral, austere affair than God Save The Clientele.

Bonfires on the Heath tracklist:

01 I Wonder Who We Are
02 Bonfires on the Heath
03 Harvest Time
04 Never Anyone but You
05 Jennifer & Julia
06 Sketch
07 Tonight
08 Share the Night
09 I Know I’ll See Your Face
10 Never Saw Them Before
11 Graven Wood
12 Walking in the Park
