Brand new London indie label One Bird Records have announced details of a show.

(I should also add that One Bird Records is mine! I have a vested interest, this is A News Piece and it’s such a coup I’m going to write it in the first person.)

The lowdown: One Bird Records present… MillionYoung, Truman Peyote and Many Mansions at the Stag’s Head, London, on July 7. Tickets are on sale now at http://www.wegottickets.com/event/77883

It’s my label’s first show, and also MillionYoung’s first ever show in London. And equally Truman Peyote’s, AND Many Mansions’s (Ed (me): ‘‘s‘? OK).

Here are some opinions touted by the internet on the bands I’m putting on…

MillionYoung according to Pitchfork: “Exactly what chillwave produced a stone’s throw from South Beach ought to sound like – a reminder that while most of these artists can only dream of an endless summer, Diaz is living it”

Truman Peyote
according to the infalllibly trustworthy Transparent blog: “Deep in historical Jamaica Plain, the stork has dropped Truman Peyote as a mid-Summer gift with a kick and a clap. Take some crazy polyrhythms, add some ritual chants and those dangerous bedfellows land you somewhere between another world and Strawberry Jam”

Many Mansions according to Daytrotter: “An invitation to join in the kind of party that will make your mind vaporize into a den of bobbing movements and involuntary motion. It’s music that can and will make you feel as if you’re losing control of things while becoming considerably more in control of vacationing craziness”
