Manic Street Preachers

A hand-scrawled, loveheart-adorned note from Nicky Wire has appeared on the Manics’ official website, with details of the band’s next studio album.

The note reads as follows:

“Hello everyone, Just finished recording in Rockfield, only running orders left to be finalised then cut the record in New York – looks like middle of May for release.

We’re excited-nervous-proud and fearful as usual but can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”

It has been rumoured that the album will be called Journal For Plague Lovers, and will contain previously unseen lyrics written by the band’s former guitarist Richey Edwards.
