Iglu & Hartly

Iglu & Hartly

On first hearing this you would be forgiven for thinking the Eminem comeback had started, as the Californian quintet here purvey a similar sounding whiteboy rap sound as the 8 Miler has put forth on his less in your face releases.

Wrapped around the rap element, though, is an indie sound of quite poppy proportions that I think would see this going down well in the summer months. The album & Then Boom is out already and therein also lie some quite ’80s sounds combined with the rap.

Iglu and Hartly have a UK and Ireland tour starting in Portsmouth on February 16th and could well become ubiquitous on your radio before autumn rolls around.
