Final Fantasy

Canadian violin-looper Final Fantasy a.k.a Owen Pallett a.k.a. arranger of strings on pretty much every half-decent indie album from the last few years (and the new Mika album!) has announced that he has signed to Domino records. The label will issue his next album in early 2010.

The new record will be called Heartland and will be available on CD, download and double 10″ vinyl. It follows last year’s twin EPs, Spectrum 14th Century and Plays to Please. In the meantime, he’ll tour on the other side of the Atlantic with Timber Timbre and The Mountain Goats.

We saw Final Fantasy at the lovely, atmospheric Union Chapel in North London earlier this year and it was great. Check out our review here.
