Deerhunter have been forced to cancel their forthcoming UK tour, including a headline Friday night appearance at Cardiff’s Swn Festival.
The Atlanta five-piece where set to play seven UK shows this October but have now cancelled due to ‘family circumstances’. The band stated: ”We are very disappointed to have to cancel our upcoming European tour do to unforeseen circumstances. We were very excited for these shows, but unfortunately family circumstances at home for multiple members of the band have made this unavoidable. We will reschedule as soon as possible.”
Swn Festival organisers have confirmed that Cardiff University’s Solus venue will now no longer be used at the festival. They are working to accommodate the bands Bo Ningen, Pinkunoizu and Verity Susman who were booked to support the indie-rockers, into new slots.
