Everyone’s new favourite bad boy Russell Brand continues to provide plenty of column inches for the British tabloids. On Friday the Daily Mail got back into outrage mode to report on Brand’s appearance on David Letterman’s chat show in the US.
The nominations for this year’s British Comedy Awards have been announced. Jonathan Ross, who has of course stepped down as host for this year’s bash, is up for Best Comedy Entertainment Programme, while his best bud Russell Brand is nominated as Best Live Stand-Up Performer.
Eddie Izzard has added three new dates to the sell-out run of his show ‘Stripped’ at The Lyric Theatre in London. The dates are 17th, 18th and 19th December and tickets are available here.
Following his ratings smash TV reality spoof earlier this year Peter Kay has announced plans to bring character Geraldine McQueen back to Channel Four.

Now rubbing shoulders with the very-rich and very-famous in Los Angeles, Coogan crops up regularly in the press after various spats with Courtney Love, and is more famous now for his movies than the small-time sitcoms that launched him.
Sweaty Italian American comic, Dom Irrera, who played Tony the limo driver in The Big Lebowski was arrested for drink driving in LA yesterday at 50 past midnight.
